Once again swiss tournament

Once again swiss tournament . Why do I not get a plus score (ranking) and my opponent a minus score if my opponent makes no move and lets the 30 minutes run out?


Do the opponents who don't move get a hint or ban?

Punishing someone for not playing a game and adjusting the rating are two separate things.

You cannot use the rating system to punish or reward. Ratings should reflect playing strength. If a game was not played, there is no information that can be used to adjust the rating. Just like in OTB: if no moves are played, the game is not rated.

The non-moving player may face punishments like a forced break from swiss tournaments or a temporary ban.

Thank you, but there seems to be a difference between swiss and arena tournaments. In Arena was no move here either and yet there were +/- rating points.
